This page lists every cookie intera-roles.com can set, what each one does and how to get rid of it. It is short, because the list is short: there are no advertising cookies on this site and no third-party tracking scripts.
Read it alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more generally.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, and hands back to itself on your next request. Related technologies — local storage, session storage — do the same job without the file. Where this page says “cookie” it means both.
2. Strictly necessary
These make the site function. They cannot be switched off from here, because switching them off means the thing they support stops working. They are not used to track you.
- Session and security cookies — set by WordPress when a form is submitted, to verify that the submission came from this site and not from somewhere else. Expire with the browser session.
- Login cookies (
wordpress_logged_in_*,wp-settings-*) — set only if you sign in to the site’s administration area. If you are a visitor, these never appear.
3. Functional
Set only when you do something that needs them.
- Comment cookies (
comment_author_*,comment_author_email_*,comment_author_url_*) — set only if you leave a comment and tick the box asking the site to remember your details, so you do not have to type them again. They last about a year, and declining the box means they are never set.
4. Documentation analytics
The documentation counts how often each article is opened, so that we can find the pages that are not doing their job and rewrite them. A cookie or an equivalent marker may be used to avoid counting the same reader twice in one visit.
This is first-party and aggregate. It stays on this site, it is not linked to a name, and it is not shared with anyone for their own purposes.
5. Spam filtering
Comments are checked by an anti-spam service before they are published. That check happens on the server when you submit a comment; it looks at the comment, the details you supplied and your IP address. It is not a cookie and it does not run while you are simply reading.
6. What this site does not set
- no advertising or retargeting cookies;
- no social-network pixels or share widgets that phone home;
- no third-party analytics scripts on the marketing pages;
- no cross-site tracking, device fingerprinting or profiling;
- no fonts, scripts or images loaded from someone else’s domain — everything is served from intera-roles.com, so reading a page does not announce your visit to a third party.
7. How to control cookies
Every browser can list, block and delete cookies, per site or globally — look for Privacy or Site settings. Blocking cookies for this site costs you the comment convenience and, if you administer the site, the ability to stay signed in. Reading the pages still works.
Deleting cookies in one browser does not delete them in another, or on another device.
8. Cookies inside INTERA itself
This page is about the website. The INTERA Core software runs on infrastructure you control, and any session cookie it sets is set by your own installation, in your own domain, and never reaches us. See section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and contact
If the list above changes, this page changes with it and the version number at the top goes up.
